Elsewhere: Solidays and We Love Green both run in Paris on very different premises — one a charity festival at Longchamp Hippodrome, the other an eco-conscious event in the Bois de Vincennes. Delta Festival turns Marseille's Prado beaches into a 150,000-strong electronic weekend, and Electrobeach does the same on the beach at Le Barcarès further west. Each of these events is built around a genuinely distinct premise — not a smaller version of something else, but its own reason to travel.
Paris's eco-first festival, staged across three days in the Bois de Vincennes on the edge of the city. Electronic, world and indie acts share the bill, but the format is the real story — sustainability isn't a sponsor slide here, it runs through catering, staging and power. At 40,000 people it's compact by French standards, and being inside the city means no camping and no long transfer: a short RER ride out, and your own bed to come back to.

Basel-Mulhouse airport is the easiest way in, about 50km from the site.
France's largest urban festival, staged inside the UNESCO-listed citadel at Arras rather than on a field outside town — the setting alone makes this one of the more distinctive city festivals in this guide. Katy Perry, Twenty One Pilots and Orelsan headline 2026, and there's no camping to plan around: Arras has good train links (Lille is 50km away) and the whole thing can be done as a long weekend without a car.
170,000 people across three days and three stages on the beach at Le Barcarès, with the stranded ocean liner Le Lydia as a genuinely strange and memorable backdrop. It opens on Bastille Day, which gives the first night a national-holiday energy that's hard to manufacture any other way. Camping is on site and Perpignan airport is the nearest connection; at €148 for three days it sits mid-table for an event of this scale.

Main Square Festival (3–5 July) in Arras is a different kind of city festival entirely — staged inside a UNESCO-listed citadel, with Lille 50km away for the nearest airport. Good for a festival trip that doesn't want camping or a rural transfer.
