Only about a quarter of the tickets are left, because most 2026 ticket holders kept theirs after the heat stopped last year's festival. Three sales: 27, 29 and 31 October. Here's how each one works and what to do if you miss out.
Defqon.1, the world's biggest hardstyle festival, returns to Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 June 2027. The 2027 theme is The Deepening.
This year's sale is smaller than usual. Defqon.1 2026 was stopped after the Thursday because of extreme heat, and every 2026 ticket holder could choose a refund or keep their ticket for 2027. So many kept them that only about 25% of 2027 tickets are left, split across three sales: Tuesday 27 October for DEDIQATED members, Thursday 29 October for Travel & Stay, and the General Sale on Saturday 31 October.
Q-dance hasn't published start times or 2027 prices yet. We'll add them here as soon as it does. The Netherlands is one hour ahead of the UK.
1. Make a Wishlist now. The Wishlist on the Q-dance site has been open since 1 October. Save the tickets, accommodation and extras you want, then turn it into a basket when you reach the shop. It doesn't reserve anything.
2. Pick your sale. DEDIQATED members get the first chance on 27 October (up to 2 tickets per order). The Travel & Stay sale follows on 29 October. Everyone else buys in the General Sale on 31 October (up to 9 tickets per order).
3. Expect a queue and a timer. You may wait in a queue before reaching the shop. Once inside, a countdown in the top-right corner shows how long you have to pay. Products can sell out while you queue.
Ticket types: Weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Premium Weekend. There are no Premium Day tickets this year, and no three-day weekend ticket. What's on sale depends on what 2026 holders didn't keep, so some types may sell out quickly or not be offered.
Every 2027 ticket has to be personalised, including tickets kept from 2026, so a ticket from social media or an unofficial resale site may not get you in. Q-dance says kept tickets can be resold and will announce how and when later.
A Weekend Ticket covers all four days: The Gathering on Thursday, then the festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Camping in the Camping Grounds and The Wasted Lands is included, with check-out on Monday. Bring your own tent, or book a Travel & Stay accommodation separately.
If you can't make the Thursday, you can still arrive on Friday with a Weekend Ticket. There's no cheaper three-day version.
Accommodation, parking, lockers and transfers are all sold separately. Nothing booked for 2026 carries over: 2026 bookings were refunded and have to be made again.
With so few tickets on sale, plenty of people will miss out. These are the big hardstyle weekends on either side of Defqon.1. Dates come from our festival database and update as each festival announces.
The first full-scale hardstyle weekend of the year: three days in April near Den Bosch, 300+ acts across hardstyle, raw and hardcore, with camping.
A weekend in Oisterwijk with camping (IntentsCity), on the Tilburg–Den Bosch line, so one of the easier Dutch hardstyle weekends without a car. 18+.
Two days at E3 Strand in Eersel: 40,000–50,000 people from 65+ countries, ten themed stages, and a theatrical concept every year.
Germany's biggest hardstyle festival, on a disused airfield in Neustadt-Glewe, known for its stage production and fireworks.
Three days across 40 hectares of Safaripark Beekse Bergen, 300+ artists, camping on site: the closest match to Defqon.1 in scale.
More options: our guide to European hardstyle festivals in 2027 and every 2027 date confirmed so far.
Regulars describe three ways to do it: on-site camping, where you arrive to a tent already up; a hotel package, comfortable but tied to the shuttle times; or a nearby rental with bikes, which some repeat visitors rate as the best mix of comfort and freedom.
The crowd has a strong reputation for being friendly and international. Solo visitors are common and say it's easy to meet people.
Phone, earplugs, a water bladder and shorts with zip pockets. After 2026, plan for hot weather: drink water all day and bring painkillers.

Yes. Taking a refund doesn't stop you buying for 2027. You can buy in the General Sale, or in the DEDIQATED Sale if you're a member, while tickets last.
Tickets, where to stay, or where to go if you miss out. The concierge knows the whole European calendar, not just this festival.
A reminder before the General Sale on 31 October, plus start times and prices when Q-dance publishes them.
Thanks — you're on the list. We'll email you before the sale.
